Golden Daydream
Slowing down and daydreaming are important to me. I usually do this when I'm lying in the sun on the dock at camp in Maine, or floating in my pool, or walking through the woods or garden. Ideas come to mind for paintings, or even life goals and fantasies. The thoughts come and go; some stick, but it calms my mind. This painting depicts that feeling I have when daydreaming in the sunlight. The little dashes represent the fleeting thoughts darting in and out, the blue symbolizes the water surrounding me, and the yellow shapes depict yellow flowers drifting in and out of my vision and periphery.
