Garden Sky

Garden Sky imagines a space where wildflowers float freely in the atmosphere. The idea for this painting began with a photograph I took of vines growing loosely along a chain-link fence. I was drawn to the patterns they created and the scattered, climbing movement of the vine. When I mentally removed the structure of the fence, the forms seemed to float weightlessly in the sky.
